Trekking Uganda Gorillas from Nairobi
Trekking with Ugandan gorillas is now an option from Nairobi. Kenya, which borders Uganda to the east, enjoys a coastal advantage thanks to Mombasa. A lot of tourists go to Kenya by boat, and it would be a good idea to combine their stay with a gorilla safari in Uganda. Despite Kenya’s stellar reputation as a safari destination, the country is devoid of mountain gorillas.
Uganda (in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga NP), Rwanda (in Volcanoes National Park), and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (in Virunga National Park) are the only three nations where mountain gorillas are found. Since the Democratic Republic of the Congo is not a safe place to visit, many tourists choose to travel to Uganda instead, where they may see gorillas for much less money (USD700 vs. $1500 in Rwanda).
