There are four gorilla trekking regions in Bwindi and these include Nkuringo, Ruhijja, Rushaga, and Buhoma gorilla sectors.

Ruhijja sector is located in the eastern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National game park. This sector has got 4 gorilla families, namely the Kyagurilo group, Bitukula group, Mukiza group, and Ruzogo group.
