At long last, Ugandan travel operators may purchase their gorilla licenses online. The Uganda Wildlife Authority has made it possible for all locally registered tour operators to browse and book gorilla and chimpanzee permits online.
While the Uganda Wildlife Authority had hoped that gorilla permits could be seen and booked by anybody in the world, Uganda travel companies had opposed this idea, therefore the matter remained hotly debated. It was decided that only travel companies from Uganda would be able to access and book the gorilla and chimpanzee permits online.
Online application for a Ugandan gorilla permit
As a result of this change, tour operators in Uganda may now take care of all bookings from the comfort of their office. Instead of calling UWA, tour companies may simply visit their website, check availability, and make preliminary reservations for gorilla or chimpanzee permits.
You may temporarily store such permits in the system while you process payments for a week. You may reserve these gorilla permits online, and after you pay for them, the system will accept them. The Uganda Wildlife Authority has educated a large number of tour operators on the usage of this technology, which has greatly simplified the online booking of gorilla and chimpanzee permits in Uganda.
You may now book your gorilla permit in Uganda online or chimpanzee permit at any time by contacting any tour provider. Regardless of the time of day, tour operators may still book gorilla and chimpanzee permits online for their Clients.
