Similarly, if you are scheduled to trek in the northern part of Bwindi, at sectors of Ruhija and Buhoma, you will need to fly to Kihihi, from where you will begin your drive to Bwindi. All of this information is important for making your reservation. Send us an email if you need any assistance reserving permits; we’ll be happy to assist you.

The Incredible Bwindi National Park
Think about the low and high seasons while planning your trip to Bwindi.
High season for gorilla trekking in Bwindi begins in June and continues through August, December, January, and February. These months are also good for trekking gorillas because the weather is mild and the trails are drier than in the wetter months. Plus, the vegetation isn’t fully grown, so seeing gorillas is easier and more clear.
During the next months—March, April, May, October, and November—it is slightly rainier and less popular to visit gorillas. This is because the vegetation is fully grown and the trails are much slippery, making trekking much harder. However, if you visit during these months, you can take advantage of the low season discounts offered by flights, lodges, and even us. To arrange for this, please email us.
