Whereas Uganda Wildlife Authority costs USD800.00 per gorilla permit per person, Rwanda Development Board charges USD750.00 per gorilla permit per person. A gorilla ticket permits one to see gorillas for one hour and covers park admission costs and guiding expenses.

Another reason gorilla trekking in Uganda is less expensive than Rwanda is because Uganda Wildlife Authority grants low season reduced gorilla permits costing USD450.00 per person each trip in April, May and November.
