This 8-day Uganda and Rwanda gorilla trip gives you the greatest opportunity to experience gorilla trekking at its best in the East African countries of Uganda and Rwanda. On this particular safari, you will get the opportunity to see a lot of amazing wildlife, most notably the chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park and the Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, and in Volcanoes National Park.
On the very same Safari, you will have the opportunity to visit some of the unique destinations in East Africa, including Queen Elizabeth National Game Park, and participate in some of the most exciting Safari activities in East Africa.
On this 8-day Uganda, Rwanda gorilla trip, you will track chimpanzee in Uganda’s Kibale forest, have game drives and Boat Safaris in Queen Elizabeth National Park, view tree-climbing lions in Ishasha wilderness sector, with mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Detailed Safari plan
Day one: Kampala city tour and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
On the first day of your 8-day Uganda and Rwanda gorilla trip, you will meet with our professional guide from Katland Safaris from either Kampala or Entebbe for a briefing about your Safari. After the briefing, you will go for a small Kampala city tour, visiting a few sites that make Kampala a unique travel destination. This will include the King’s Palace, Bulange, Kasubi tomb, and the Royal Mile. After this small tour of Kampala, you will then start a journey and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. You will arrive in the evening for lodge check, Relaxation, Dinner, and overnight stay.
Day two: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Because we have chimpanzee trekking, wins the making and scenic drives to Queen Elizabeth National Game Park.
Because we have chimpanzee trekking in the morning and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the day will require us to get up very early in the morning for a briefing at the headquarters from the ranger guides about chimpanzee tracking dnd clients.
After chimpanzee trekking, you will then embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, having lunch en route as you enjoy the magical and impressive sights along the way to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Game Park, you will check into the services of the lodge for a relaxing Dinner and overnight stay.
Accommodation with be at either Bush lodge (Budget), Tabingi Safari Lodge for mid-range, or at Mweya Safari Luxury.
Day three: Morning game drive and boat safari on the Kazinga channel
For this fifth day of your Safari, you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast, and after go for an early morning Game Adventure epic in Queen Elizabeth National Game Park. While on this Safari, expect to encounter several wildlife, including Hynes, buffalo, lions, elephants, among other wild animals.
After a thrilling drive, you will then head back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch as you gather energy for yet another thrilling adventure, the afternoon boat safari on Kazinga channel, a place with some of the highest concentrations of hippo, with a lot of aquatic wildlife, and elephants spotted on the Banks of Kazinga channel.l
After the Boat safari, you will transfer back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day four: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for gorilla trekking
On this sixth day of your 10-day Uganda gorilla trekking trip, you will wake up very early in the morning for breakfast and embark on your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha wilderness sector. If luck is on our side, we might be lucky enough to witness the famous tree-climbing lions of Ishasha. You will have lunch and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for lodge check-in in dinner, and overnight stay:

Day six: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Mutanda
Today you will wake up very early in the morning for breakfast. You will then be picked up by your guide and transferred to the headquarters of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a briefing about your Gorilla trekking adventure. After the briefing is done, you will be allocated a gorilla family to track, and with the leadership of the ranger guide, you will enter the forest for the gorilla trekking adventure: –
Once you are with the mountain gorillas, you will be allowed a full hour in the company of the gorillas, taking videos and pictures. After you will transfer back to the lodge for lunch and transfer to Lake Mutanda in Kisoro. While on Lake Mutanda, you will have an evening Canoe boat ride before transferring to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day Seven: – Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park and Ibyiwacu cultural centre.
You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and set off for the second gorilla trekking adventure in Rwanda. Your guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park.
You will be allocated a family to track and, with the leadership of the ranger guide, embark on the gorilla trekking adventure. Once you get to the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour with the mountain gorillas, taking pictures and videos
You will transfer back to the lodge for lunch and later in the evening take a nature walk visiting the Ibyiwacu Cultural Centre, where you will get to see traditional devices, cultural food, and Rwandan social people.
Day Eight: Transfer to Kigali for your international flight back
You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast. You will then bid farewell to the lodge and be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your international flight back home, marking the end of your Safari.
