Trekking for golden monkeys in Mgahinga National Park
Golden monkeys are some of the uncommon primates worldwide. Uganda is fortunate to have them still found in Mgahinga National Park. One of the main activities in the park that distinguishes Mgahinga Gorilla National Park as a unique destination when you travel from Entebbe is golden monkey tracking. Based on the Uganda Wildlife Authority Tariff of 2024-2025, two populations of golden monkeys have been set aside for trekking; their permit costs USD 100 per person per trek.
