2 Day safari to Lake Mburo. Lake Mburo National Park is about a 3 – 4-hour drive from Kampala, making it the nearest park to the capital city of Uganda. It is the smallest among the savannah parks in Uganda, but it harbors an incredible diversity of animals and birds, has beautiful scenery, and its small size means you can reach the different parts of the park easily and discover a lot of what it can offer in a short time.
The park is great for grazing animals, and the common animals to be seen on the day safari in Lake Mburo National Park include zebras, impala, giraffes, buffaloes, warthogs, bushbucks, eland, and topi, among others.
The biggest lake in the park, Lake Mburo, is home to crocodiles, hippos, and several water birds, which can be sighted from the boat cruise.
Tour Itinerary
Day One: Travel from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park, game drive, and boat ride
Your tour driver shall pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe at 06 am earlier depending on location, and drive off to Lake Mburo National Park in western Uganda. This will be a 3-hour drive.
On arrival at the park, you shall check into the lodge and go out for a short game drive and explore the lush savannah and acacia woodlands to spot several wildlife.
You will then return to the lodge for relaxation and Lunch.
After lunch, you shall drive through the game tracks and later go for the boat cruise on Lake Mburo, which will expose you to more wildlife and amazing scenery!

Day Two: Morning walking safari and transfer back to Kampala
Today, you shall do a guided walking safari in the park to experience the beautiful savanna on foot and see the animals up close.
You shall have breakfast, check out, and travel back to Kampala. Along the way, you shall stop over at the Uganda Equator for lunch and picture moments.
End of Safari.
