LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK | Safari Destination Tanzania

Lake Manyara National Park is located between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley and a home to the tree-climbing lions. Lake Manyara is dominated by Lake Manyara, a shallow alkaline lake at an altitude of 960m, which was found in a depression within the rift valley system.

Lake Manyara is home to some of the migratory mammals from Tarangire National Park, including zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles. Lake Manyara offers the greatest opportunities to film predators, including lions, leopards, black backed jackals, serval cats, African wildcats,and  spotted hyenas, among other species.

Other notable wildlife species in the park include baboons, flamingos, cape buffaloes, bush bucks, giraffes, zebras, white pelicans, yellow billed storks, white breasted cormorants, among others.

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK.

This national park is located a few kilometres away from Arusha, making it one of the most accessible national parks in Tanzania. Tarangire National Park offers some of the most beautiful scenery in Africa, made up of its range of beautiful inhabitants. Tarangire is home to large herds of elephants, with a simple herd consisting of 300 elephants plus other animals, including wildebeests, elephants, buffaloes, gazelles, impalas, hartebeests,and  zebras, among other wildlife.

DAR-ES-SALAM

SELOUS GAME RESERVE

Located in southeastern Tanzania, Selous National Park. It is one of Tanzania’s remote and less visited, yet it’s one of the best places to enjoy a close-up ride with water animals.

Selous Game Reserve is Tanzania’s largest protected wildlife reserve, covering 5% of Tanzania’s total area. Riverine swamps, wooded grassland, open plains and hills, and Miombo woodlands all offer great homes for a variety of wildlife.

One of the greatest attractions in Selous Game Reserve is the Rufigi River Delta. It’s the largest water catchment in the region, which makes it home to a great number of water animals Rufigi River Delta connects the Great Rauha River with the Rufigi River, flowing out into the Indian Ocean along the Tanzania Coast.

MAFIA ISLAND MARINE PARK

Mafia Island is home to an outstanding mosaic of tropical marine habitats, including Coral reefs. Mafia Island consists of eight small reserves located along the Tanzania coast. Because of this, Mafia Island is home to two sea turtle species that take Mafia Island as a safe home. The island is internationally recognized as a critical site for Biodiversity. Mafia Island offers you the best opportunities to film several historical sites, some dating back to the early 13th century. The Marine Park area has national importance as one of the few remaining reef complexes within Tanzania’s coastal waters in relatively intact condition.
