The Uganda Wildlife Authority’s scheduling needs dictate that you should pick up your chimpanzee permit cards at least one week before your scheduled chimpanzee trekking date. You may be certain that when you visit UWA, your cards will be readily available for collection. You do not acquire possession of chimpanzee permission cards only by collecting or picking them up from the Uganda Wildlife Authority. The Uganda Wildlife Authority owns these permission cards; after obtaining them from UWA, you must produce them at the park gates before to trekking in order to have them verified.
After the warden or head clerk checks all the information on this card, they will let you journey, but they will keep this card. These cards are thereafter returned to the offices of the Uganda Wildlife Authority and put to service again.
