Uganda Primates and Wildlife Safari. This 10-day Uganda primates and wildlife game safari allows you to track primates on a safari for Uganda. You will track mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park. On the very scenic safari, you will visit Queen Elizabeth National game and Murchison Falls National Park for wildlife encounters by game drivers and boat safaris. You will also visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for the rhino tracking adventure.

This is an all-inclusive safari that starts and ends in either Kampala or Entebbe.

Day one: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Game Park.

On your very first day of your 10-Day Uganda Primates and Wildlife Game Safari, you will meet a representative from Katland Safaris for a briefing about your adventure safari. You will start your journey driving south; you will make a stopover at the equator for stretching, refreshments, or make a stopover in Mpambire to have a look at the traditional drums and handmade crafts in this place.  You will jump into the car and continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with another sleepover in Mbarara for lunch.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is famously known for being a safe home to more than 53% of the remaining population of mountain gorillas. The park is also home to an incredible variety of flora and Fauna and holds 348 bird species, making Bwindi Impenetrable Forest a bird watcher’s heaven.

Day two: Gorilla Tracking and Batwa Community Encounter

Today is when we take on the highlight of your adventure Safari, which is gorilla trekking. You will wake up very early in the morning for breakfast, and with a packed lunch, you will be driven to the park sark head offices for a briefing about gorilla trekking adventures. After the briefing, and with the leadership of the rangers, you will enter the forest and embark on the exciting journey in search of the mountain gorillas.

Once you meet the mountain gorillas, you will be allowed to spend a full hour in the company of the mountain gorillas, observing their way of life and taking pictures and videos. After the gorilla trekking adventure, you will transfer back to your lodge for relaxation and lunch.

After lunch, you will have the option of going for the Batwa community experience for the evening.

Day three: Scenic Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After an early morning breakfast. You will meet your guide and embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Game Park through the Ishasha wilderness sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. If luck is on our side, we might be lucky enough to see these beautiful lions resting in acacia tree branches. You will drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay:

Day four:  Morning game drive and Africboat safari on the Kazinga Channel.

For this fourth day of your Safari, you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast, and after go for an early morning Game Adventure epic in Queen Elizabeth National Game Park. While on this Safari, expect to encounter several wildlife, including hyenas, buffalo, lions, and elephants, among other wild animals.

After a thrilling drive, you will then head back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch as you gather energy for yet another thrilling adventure, the afternoon boat safari on Kazinga channel, a place with some of the highest concentrations of hippos, with a lot of aquatic wildlife, and elephants spotted on the Banks of Kazinga channel.

After the Boat safari, you will transfer back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day five: Transfer to Kibale Forest

On this day of your Safari, you will wake up very early in the morning for breakfast and bid farewell to the lodge and embark on a journey to Kibale Forest National Game Park, also known as the primate’s capital of the world because of its very high concentration of chimpanzees.

The Scenic transfer will take you through the rural villages of rural Uganda and finally to Kibale Forest National Park.

Accommodation will be at Primates Lodge Kibale Luxury, Kibale Forest Camp Mid Rouge, and at Chimpanzee Forest Guest House for Budget accommodation.

Day six: Chimpanzee trekking

After breakfast, we visit Kibale National Park, which is said to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. You will take a guided nature walk in search of chimpanzees, black and white colubus monkeys, red colubus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, baboons, and a variety of bird species. Come back to the lodge, relax around, have lunch, Relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day seven: Transfer from Kibale to Murchison Falls National Park.
Today, you wake up very early in the morning for an early breakfast and a hot cup of coffee. You will meet your guide and embark on a journey to northwestern Uganda, aiming for Murchison Falls National Park. You will have lunch on route and after continue with the journey and check into the services of Pakuba Safari Lodge for accommodation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Murchison Falls National Game Park.
This is the largest national park and conservation area in Uganda, with approximately 3840 square kilometers. The Nile River divides this magnificent park into two sectors: the southern and western sectors. The park is known for magnificent falls, where the entire River Nile squeezes itself through a 6-meter-high below, creating a rainbow on top of the falls. While in Murchison Falls, take a boat cruise upstream; the falls provide you with an unforgettable safari experience like no other. Visitors are able to watch a variety of wildlife, including buffalo, elephants, giraffes, lions, crocodiles, and hippos, alongside a variety of bird species.

Day eight: Morning game drive and boat safari in Murchison Falls

Morning game drive on your eighth day of your 10-day Uganda safari, you will wake up very early morning for breakfast and then transfer for an early morning game drive to watch early morning grazers as they rotate around in watching for the early sunrise. Some of the animals expected on this morning game drive include African elephant’s cape buffalo, giraffes (Roth’s giraffe), hyenas, lions, Hyenas, heart beasts,  and a leopard or lion in case luck is on our side.

After this exciting early morning game drive, you will then transfer back to the lodge for a quick lunch, and after lunch, you will head out for a fascinating afternoon boat safari on the Nile to the bottom of Murchison Falls. While on this safari, expect to see wildlife from elephants, giraffes, birds, and Nile crocodiles. After this exciting boat safari, you will then transfer back to your lodge for evening relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day nine: Visit the top of the fall and have an evening drive.
Wake up very early in the morning for breakfast and, with your guide, transfer to explore the top of the falls. You will also have the opportunity not only to gaze at these magnificent falls but also to hike to the top of the falls. Have breakfast at these magnificent falls.

After transferring back to either the lodge or making a stop at Red chill rest camp for lunch and relaxation. After lunch, you will then head out for an evening game drive in search of the late grazers.

Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 10: Transfer from Murchison Falls National Game Park back to Kampala., Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for the Rhino trekking experience.

Today is your last day on a safari across Uganda. You will wake up very early in the morning for the last breakfast, and after embark on your journey back to Kampala. You will make a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for the Rhino trekking experience and lunch.

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary:

This is a popular destination for a stopover for tourists on safaris to Murchison Falls National Park. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is home to the rhinos conserved to be reintroduced in Murchison Falls National Park. While at Ziwa, you will go for a rhino search on foot and come up close to the rhinos.
You will return to the starting point for lunch and after transfer back to Kampala, marking the end of your 10-day Uganda primates and wildlife safari.
