Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
The safari begins with your arrival at Entebbe International Airport. After meeting your professional safari guide, you drive west toward Kibale Forest National Park, passing scenic countryside, tea plantations, and traditional villages. The journey introduces you to Uganda’s lush landscapes and rural life.
Upon arrival, check in at your lodge near Kibale and relax, preparing for the exciting primate trekking adventure ahead.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest
Kibale Forest is home to one of the highest concentrations of chimpanzees in Africa. After an early morning briefing, you trek through the rainforest with experienced guides to locate a habituated chimpanzee community. Observing these intelligent primates in their natural habitat is a thrilling and educational experience, offering insight into their social behaviors and interactions.
Return to the lodge in the afternoon to relax and enjoy the forest surroundings.
Day 3: Bigodi Wetland Walk and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start the day with a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetlands, a rich birding and primate habitat near Kibale. This walk allows for observation of monkeys, birds, and other wildlife in a tranquil wetland setting.

Day 4: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Experience the best of Queen Elizabeth National Park’s wildlife. A morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains offers opportunities to see elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, and various antelope species.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway linking Lake Edward and Lake George. Hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and diverse birdlife make this a memorable wildlife encounter on the water.
Day 5: Ishasha Sector Tree-Climbing Lions and Wildlife Drive
Venture to the remote Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Day 8: Return to Entebbe and Departure
The safari concludes with a scenic drive back to Entebbe. Enjoy Uganda’s rolling hills and rural scenery along the way. Depending on your flight schedule, you may connect directly to your international departure or arrange an overnight stay in Entebbe before departure.
