Detailed Itinerary: 10 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala or Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park

Early in the morning, your professional safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe for a full briefing about the 10 days Uganda Rwanda safari. The drive north includes a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for guided rhino tracking on foot, offering a rare opportunity to see Uganda’s only wild rhinos.

Day 3: Transfer from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, you depart Murchison Falls and begin a scenic drive southwest toward Kibale Forest National Park. The journey passes through rural villages, rolling countryside, and tea plantations around Fort Portal, offering beautiful landscapes and cultural insights.

Arrival is in the late afternoon, followed by lodge check-in, dinner, and overnight stay. Accommodation options include Chimpanzee Forest Guest House for budget travelers, Kibale Forest Camp for mid-range stays, and Primate Lodge Kibale for luxury accommodation.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest and Bigodi Swamp Walk

The day begins early with breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking. Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, you enter the forest in search of habituated chimpanzee families, observing their social behavior and interactions in the wild.

After lunch, you enjoy a guided Bigodi Swamp walk, a community-based experience known for rich birdlife, monkeys, and cultural encounters with local communities. You return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

After breakfast, you begin the cross-border transfer to Rwanda via the Cyanika border. The drive offers spectacular views of rolling hills, terraced farmland, and volcanic landscapes as you enter Rwanda.
