Detailed Itinerary: 05 Days Murchison Falls and Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Overnight in Murchison Falls Area

Lunch is taken en route at a selected restaurant, offering freshly prepared local and continental dishes. Upon arrival, you check into a lodge overlooking the Nile River or savannah plains, providing a peaceful setting after the journey. Dinner is prepared at the lodge using fresh ingredients, offering a nourishing and relaxing end to the day. Overnight is spent in a comfortable en-suite room surrounded by the natural sounds of the park.

Day 2: Game Drive and Nile Boat Safari – Overnight in Murchison Falls Area

 Breakfast is served early at the lodge to prepare for the game drive, where you may encounter elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, and various antelope species. After the morning activity, lunch is served back at the lodge, allowing time to rest during the heat of the day. In the afternoon, the Nile boat safari offers close views of hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife, culminating near the base of the dramatic falls. Dinner is served at the lodge, followed by an overnight stay in the same accommodation.

Day 3: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Overnight in Bwindi

 Breakfast is enjoyed at the lodge before departure. Lunch is taken along the route or at a lodge stop in southwestern Uganda, allowing time to relax and refresh. Upon arrival in Bwindi, you check into a forest lodge built along the park’s edge, often offering panoramic views of mist-covered hills. Dinner is prepared at the lodge and served in a warm, welcoming setting. Overnight is spent in Bwindi, ensuring proximity to the next day’s trekking activity.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – Overnight in Bwindi

An early breakfast is served to provide energy for the trek before proceeding to the park headquarters for briefing. After the gorilla trek, lunch is provided at the lodge or as a packed meal depending on trekking duration. The afternoon is reserved for rest, reflection, and optional cultural or nature activities around the lodge. Dinner is served in the evening, offering a hearty meal to recover from the physically demanding but deeply rewarding gorilla encounter. Overnight remains in Bwindi.

Day 5: Return to Entebbe or Kampala – Breakfast and En-Route Lunch
