Murchison and Bwindi Gorilla Safari. This safari will grant you a visit to two of Uganda’s most iconic national parks: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the mountain gorillas, and Murchison Falls National Park, home to the most powerful waterfalls.
While on this Safari, you will encounter several wildlife species, including elephants, buffalo, and lions, as well as Antelopes, Crocodiles, Hippos, and a lot more. After a great wildlife adventure in Murchison Falls, you will head further through the Albertine Mountain valley to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to more than half of the remaining population of mountain gorillas.
Detailed itinerary: –
Day One:
Pick up from Kampala or Entebbe and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
On the first day of your Safari, you will be picked up by a representative from Katland Safaris who will be with you all through the Best 7 days of Uganda wildlife adventure trip. You will then embark on a journey to Murchison Falls National Game Park with a stopover at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for the Rhino tracking adventure.
After the Rhino tracking, you will have lunch and proceed to Murchison Falls National Game Park. You will make the tour to the top of the falls and after continue and check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day two: Wildlife Adventure in Murchison Falls National Park, Game Drive, and afternoon Boat Safari
You will wake up very early morning for breakfast and then transfer for an early morning game drive to watch early morning grazers as they rotate around in watching for the early sunrise. Some of the animals expected on this morning game drive include African elephant’s cape buffalo, giraffes (Roth’s giraffe), hyenas, lions, Hyenas, heart beasts, and a leopard or lion in case luck is on our side.
After this exciting early morning game drive, you will then transfer back to the lodge for a quick lunch, and after lunch, you will head out for a fascinating afternoon boat safari on the Nile to the bottom of Murchison Falls. While on this safari, expect to see wildlife from elephants, giraffes, birds, and Nile crocodiles. After this exciting boat safari, you will then transfer back to your lodge for evening relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day three: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Wake up very early in the morning and with a packed breakfast, embark on yet another super exciting journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It is a long journey, yet very exciting, filled with an amazing scenic view of Western Rural Uganda. You will spot the great Lake Albert, the legendary Rwenzori Mountain Ranges Kibale forest. Lake George and Edward, as well as beautiful local communities.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Community Experience.
Today is when we take on the highlight of your 05 Uganda gorilla trekking and Queen Elizabeth adventure Safari, which is gorilla trekking. You will wake up very early in the morning for breakfast, fast, and with a packed lunch, you will be driven to the park’s head offices for a briefing about gorilla trekking adventures. After the briefing and with the leadership of the rangers, you will enter the forest and embark on the exciting journey in search of the mountain gorillas.
Once you meet the mountain gorillas, you will be allowed to spend a full hour in the company of the mountain gorillas, observing their way of life and taking pictures and videos. After the gorilla trekking adventure, you will transfer back to your lodge for relaxation and lunch.
After lunch, you will have the option of going for the Batwa community experience for the evening.
Day 5: Return to Kampala, marking the end of your 05 days Murchison Falls and Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari
On your last day of your safari, you will wake up very early in the morning for breakfast, After embark on your journey back to Kampala. You will have a stopover at the equator for lunch and continue with the journey to Kampala with a drop at either your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your safari.
