Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga Uganda. This short gorilla trekking safari takes you to Mgahinga Gorilla National Game Park yet another great gorilla trekking destination in Uganda. Mgahinga is a significant conservation area located in southwestern Uganda and it is part of the gorilla conservation area that is shared by Uganda, Rwanda, and the democratic republic of Congo.
Detailed itinerary;
Day one: Pickup from Kampala or Entebbe International Airport and transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
Early in the morning after your early morning cup of coffee, you will meet with a safari guide from Katland Safaris for a small briefing and transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Drive through the scenic rural Uganda, and have a stopover at the equator and in Mbarara for lunch. The drive time is approximately 8-9 hours with stopovers.
Arrive at the lodge for relaxation dinner and overnight stay.

Mid range at lake Mulehe safari lodge.
Day Two: Gorilla trekking in, Mgahinga gorilla national park.
Wake up early morning for breakfast and with your drive guide transfer to the lodge headquarters. You will be received by the ranger guides for a briefing about the rules on gorilla trekking.
The gorilla trekking starts at a point where the mountain gorillas were last seen in the evening.
The trekking takes any period between 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of the mountain gorillas. Upon finding the mountain gorillas, you will be allowed a full hour with the mountain gorillas in their habitants, observing them and taking pictures.
After gorilla trekking, return to the park headquarters to receive your gorilla trekking certificate as a souvenir for a successful gorilla trekking adventure. After meet your guide and transfer back to the lodge for relaxation.
In the afternoon, you can choose to relax at the lodge or take a walk in the rural villages to experience the Batwa culture.
Return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.
Day Three. Transfer from Mgahinga Gorilla National Park to Kampala or Entebbe.
After an early morning cup of coffee, you will meet your guide and embark on your scenic drive back to Kampala. You will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and another at the equator.
Later in the evening, you will arrive either in kampala or in Entebbe for your international flight back home.
