This 8-day Uganda gorilla safari is one of the best trips to do if you want to enjoy the beauty of Uganda to the fullest. Day 01: Arrive in Entebbe – Shoe Bill stock adventure
Once you arrive at Entebbe International Airport, the Katand Safaris driver will pick you up and take you to your hotel in Entebbe once you have cleared any travel restrictions with immigration officials and provided your visa.
If you get to Entebbe early in the day, you can choose to do optional things like strolling through these globally recognized bio-diverse gardens or birdwatching in the botanical gardens to satisfy your wanderlust. To see the enormous historical shoebill and hundreds of other uncommon African birds, many birdwatchers travel to the Mabamba wetland.
To learn more about Uganda’s urban culture, you might want to take a stroll to the local market or seafood market.
You will either stay at the Papyrus Guesthouse (comfortable) or the Boutique Hotel Number 5 (luxury).
Day 02: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
On the very fast day of this safari, you will be picked up by a guide from Katland Safaris and start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive is long, taking 8-9 hour,s but with great scenic views of rural Uganda. You will have a stopover at the equator for photographs and later in Mbarara for a lunch break.
You will then continue on your journey through Kabale and Kisoro, reaching Bwindi in the evening for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 3. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After an early morning Breakfast, you will meet with your guide and transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing from the Uganda wildlife rangers. You will be grouped into 8-member groups, each group with 2 ranger guides. You will embark on a trekking safari into the dense forests of Bwindi.
The search for the gorilla starts from the very spot where the mountain gorillas were last seen the previous evening. Upon locating the mountain gorillas, you will be allowed one full hour with the mountain gorillas, observing them in total silence and taking pictures with videos.
After the trek, you will return to the starting point to pick up your certificates as a sign of a successful trek of mountain gorillas in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will then return to the lodge for a relaxation dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After an early morning breakfast, you will meet the safari guide and embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will have numerous stopovers en route for relaxation and lunch, depending on the time and request. Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth, you will check into the lodge for relaxation. After, you will move out for an enriching evening game drive in search of evening grazers, including elephants, buffalo, lions, and so much more.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of Uganda’s most popular safari destinations and a diverse conservation area with a variety of habitats ranging from grasslands, forests, wetlands, and woodland that house and sustain a wide range of wildlife species.

Day 05: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel.
After having an early morning breakfast, you will drive to Kasenyi Plains for a morning game drive in search of early-morning grazers. Some of the wildlife we expect to encounter in the morning include elephants, large herds of buffalo, leopards, bushbucks, and possibly lions.
The morning drive starts at exactly six in the morning and takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, and ends with a bush breakfast.
After the game drive, you will transfer back to the lodge for lunch and later transfer to the Kazinga channel for an exciting boat cruise on the channel. The boat ride is one of the highlights of taking a safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park. After the boat cruise, you will transfer back to the lodge for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.

Day 06: Morning game drive, Lake Kate Salt Lake, and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
Wake up early morning for breakfast and either go for an early morning game drive or a visit to Lake Katwe Salt Lake mines. You will then embark on the journey to Kibale Forest National Park. On arrival in Kibale, you will check into the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later in the evening, go for a nature walk in the Bigodi swamp for awesome sightseeing of Bigodi swamp primates and bird species.
You will return to the lodge for a relaxation dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 07: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park and Bigodi community walk.
After having an early morning breakfast, your guide will transfer to the Kanyanbu head offices for a briefing from ranger guides about the guidelines of chimpanzee trekking in kibale. After the briefing, you will embark on the journey into the forest and start your chimpanzee trekking adventure. After encountering the chimpanzee, you will be allowed a full hour with the chimps, taking pictures and videos. You will transfer back to the headquarters, meet your guide again, and transfer back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.
Bugodi community walk.
After relaxation and lunch, you will transfer to the Bugodi community for a walk through the rural village, visit local brewer makers, and end your walking safari with a locally brewed cup of coffee. Return to the lodge for a relaxation dinner and an overnight stay.
