Detailed safari itinerary
Day one: Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park from Kampala or Entebbe
Early in the morning, you will meet a guide from Katland Safaris and embark on a journey to Kisoro, the home of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
You will stop over at the equator for picture memories and later in Mbarara for Lunch. You will continue with a scenic transfer through western Uganda.
You will arrive in the evening for check-in, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day two: Hiking Mountain Sabinyo (3669)
You will wake up very early in the morning for a quick and hot breakfast, and with a packed lunch and drinking water, embark on a hiking adventure that will take you about 8 hours of hiking experience to the mountain Sabinyo, offering the greatest memorable experience in Uganda, Rwanda, and DR Congo.
On top of the mountain, you will have a beautiful view of the scenic Virunga ranges.
Day three: Hiking Mountain Gahinga (3474 meters)
Wake up very early in the morning for breakfast, and with h packed lunch and water, embark on a hiking adventure through the clear Bamboo trails to Gahinga peak. You will also view the lush swamp that was formerly a crater lake. Return to the lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Days four and five: Mountain Muhavura hiking adventure (4127 meters)
For Days 4 and, you will have breakfast and hike to Gahinga to the base of mountain Muhavura. While hiking, you will enjoy the scenic Rwenzori, Lake Albert, Bwindi, and Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay
Day six: Transfer from Kisoro back to Kampala Entebbe, marking the end of your 6-day Mgahinga hiking adventure.
Wake up early in the morning for a fantastic breakfast as you get prepared to check out of the lodge or camp and embark on your scenic transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe. You will make a sleepover at the equator for lunch and be dropped at Entebbe International Airport for your international flight back home, marking the end of your 6-day Mgahinga hiking adventure.
