Best of Uganda primates trekking. This six-day Best of Uganda safari takes you to three of Uganda’s and Africa’s top destinations for primate trekking, offering an up-close encounter with these beautiful creatures.  On this safari, you will visit Kibale Forest National Park for chimpanzee trekking and Bwindi Gorilla National Park for gorilla trekking. You will end the safari with a visit to Lake Bunyonyi.  

Detailed itinerary

Day one: Pick up and transfer to Kibale forest

On the first day of your 06 days best of Uganda primates trekking tour. You will meet with a safari guide from Katland Safaris, you will meet with a safari guide from KatLand safaris for a briefing, and after, embark on a journey to Kibale forest passing through the Uganda countryside of Mityana, Mubende, and Fort Portal. You will have a break for lunch in Fort Portal and then continue with the journey to Kibale forest for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge:

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park and Bigodi community walk.

This day will require us to get up very early in the morning for a briefing at the headquarters from the ranger guides about chimpanzee tracking dos and don’ts. You will enter the forest with the leadership of the ranger guide and start looking for the primate. After Chimpanzee trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch, and later in the evening, you will go for a community walk and discover how the local people around the national park survive. You will visit a local Brewery, locally known as the Banana man, and a coffee woman.

You will return to the Lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day three: Transfer from Kibale forest to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park:

You will wake up very early in the morning for breakfast and after set on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home to more than half the remaining population of Mountain gorillas. You will drive through Queen Elizabeth National Game Park and if luck is on our side, we might be lucky enough to spot a few wildlife, includingelephantstbuffaloes, antelopes, and maybe lions.

You will check into the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day four: Mountain gorilla trekking and transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park:

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure. After the briefing, you will enter the forest and can take anything from 30 minutes to three-quarters of the day, depending on where the mountain gorillas could be spending their day.

The steeply forested landscapes of Bwindi are incredibly dense but very adventurous, and at times crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, makiit evenven madventurousouss. After an Encounter with the Mountain Gorillas, you will be allowed to spend a full hour with them, taking pictures and videos, with a certificate of participation as they thank you for your contribution to the conservation of mountain gorillas.

You will have lunch and after transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, the home of Golden Monkeys and mountain gorillas.

Day Five: Golden monkey trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

In the morning, after breakfast, transfer to the headquarters for a briefing about Golden Monkey tracking. The trek takes about 3 hours, during which you will be able to encounter various other monkey species. After golden monkey tracking. You will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi   and have an evening of relaxation at Uganda`s deepest and, preferably, Africa’s most scenic lake

Day six: Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi back to Kampala for departure

You will wake up in the morning for breakfast, meet your guide with packed bags, and embark on a journey back to Kampala. You will have a stopover at the equator for lunch, and after that, continue with the journey to either Kampala or Entebbe.

You will be dropped at your hotel in either Kampala or Entebbe or at the airport in Entebbe for your International flight back home.
