How does one get to Nkuringo for Gorilla habituation?
By Road: Nkuringo is reachable by the main highway road from Entebbe/Kampala, around an 8-9 hour journey. You will pass Kabale town and keep on to Nkuringo. One may also reach the Park from Kigali, Rwanda, in around four to five hours’ driving.
By plane, you may reach Kisoro airstrip from Entebbe International Airport or Kampala’s Kajjansi airport. Run by local aviation firm operators, Aero Link and Fly Uganda, set up and chartered flights are offered. You will have to be ready for transport from the airfield to the Lodge you have booked for your stay with your tour operator.
