12 Days Gorilla and Wildlife Safari. Day one, 1st July 2025: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park through Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Visit the Top of the Falls.

After breakfast and an early morning cup of coffee, you will meet your safari Guide and embark on an exciting and scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Game Park. The park is located in north-western Uganda and is known for its abundance of wildlife and the spectacular views of the Murchison Falls. En route to Murchison Falls, you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a breeding station for rhinos, for a rhino tracking experience. After Rhino tracking, you will have lunch and then continue with the Journey to Murchison Falls National Park.

You will drive to the top of Murchison Falls to have a spectacular view of the falls. After, you will transfer to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day TWO: Early morning Game drive, Bush breakfast, and afternoon boat safari in Murchison Falls National Park.

Today, we set off early in the morning on our first game drive in the park. The park offers an array of wildlife species, including Lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hartebeests, oribis, and of course, the Uganda Kobs are the best known. With your safari guide, you will pass through some of the most beautiful tracks and will never tire of answering your questions. The vegetation with the savannah and the riverside forest will inspire you. After lunch, you will set off on a boat safari towards Murchison Falls. Crocodiles, hippos, and water birds accompany you on your trip on the Nile to the impressive waterfalls. Just before the thundering spray of the waterfalls, the boat moors on a rock, and you enjoy the view of the river and take your photos. If you wish, you can hike along a steep path to the top of the waterfalls from where your guide will pick you up. Alternatively, you can return by boat.

You will then go for a slow evening game drive, and if the weather is great, we always end the game drive with an evening sundowner. Your safari guide will transfer you back to the Lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day Three: Transfer from Murchison Falls National Park to Fort Portal.

Wake up early in the morning and embark on a scenic transfer to Fort Portal. You wi reach in the afternoon for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day Four: Transfer to Semiliki National Park, and visit the male and female hot springs and Mungilo waterfalls.

Drive to Semiliki National Park to see the female and male hot springs. Begin with the

most eye-catching item in Semliki, the Sempaya hot springs. These natural springs have a geyser shooting up from an 8m-wide hole at a high temperature. Continue to Mungilo waterfall and see more attractive birds, especially if you are a birder. After embarking on a journey to Kibale Forest National Game Park, passing through tea plantations and the lush green countryside, which characterizes so much of Uganda.

Day Five, 5th July: Bigodi swamp walks and Crater Lakes Hike and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Bigodi Community and Swamp Walk

Early in the morning, we set off on a tour through the Bigodi Swamp. You will end the walking safari with a village tour on the edge of the swamp, where the locals are likely to greet you with enthusiastic waves and catch a glimpse of the great blue turaco. Hiking through the crater lakes of Uganda, located near Fort Portal. Typical hikes take you through

local villages and tea plantations, to the base of several of these incredibly serene and beautiful

lakes.

After, you will meet your guide and embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth, you will drive straight to the Lodge for relaxation.

Day 06: Morning Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Boat safari on Kazinga Channel

On this day, you will wake up early in the morning for a quick breakfast and, with your Guide, transfer to Kasenyi gate for registration for the morning game drive. Queen Elizabeth is one of Uganda’s most visited parks, offering some of the best African wildlife safaris. While on the morning game drive, expect to see quite a several wildlife ranging from buffalo, lions, Kob antelope, and hyenas, among so many other animals. You will end your game drive with an exciting breakfast in the bush.

Afternoon Boat safari on Kazinga Channel

A boat safari on the Kazinga Channel is one of the most thrilling adventure activities on safaris in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This 36-kilometer-long channel allows you to spot several wildlife, mostly elephants, buffalo, and after the boat ride, you will transfer back to your lodge for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.

Day 07: Morning Game Drive for lion tracking in Queen Elisabeth National Park, Nature walk in Nyamisingiri (Maramagambo forest), and transfer to Isasha Wilderness Camp.

After a quick breakfast at your lodge, you will meet with your guide and go for another game drive for the lion experience in Queen Elizabeth National Park. After the game drive, you will have an early lunch and then go for a leisurely walk near Lake Nyamasingiri. After the nature walk, you will drive towards the ishasha wilderness sector, the home of tree-climbing lions. You will transfer to your Lodge for a relaxation Dinner and an overnight stay.

A hike through the Kyambura Gorge, Hippo Census, and Bird Counts will not be possible.

Day 8: Half-Day Game Drive in Ishasha wilderness sector and scenic transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will wake up very early in the morning, and you will meet your guide for yet another exciting game drive in the Ishasha wilderness sector. After, embark on the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Game Park, the home of more than 53 percent of the remaining global population of mountain gorillas. You will be driving through the ishasha wilderness sector in Queen Elizabeth National Game Park. You will proceed with your journey to Bwindi, arriving in Bwindi later in the evening for a relaxation dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Batwa Community Experience.

You will wake up very early in the morning for a quick breakfast at the lodge. You will meet with your safari guide and transfer to the headquarters of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a briefing from the rangers about the gorilla trekking Guidelines in the forest.

Bwindi is home to more than 50 percent of the global remaining population of mountain gorillas, offering visitors a 99% chance of seeing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Mountain Gorillas belong to the endangered animal species despite the number of 1,100 that have now been recorded. Tourism has contributed significantly to the fact that the animals are no longer persecuted by the local population but are protected.

After a short briefing, you hike into the densely forested jungle with an experienced guide, a ranger, and a few porters. Your guide will show you the tracks of the animals, answer your questions about the vegetation, and soon you will be up close to the mighty animals. 

Upon allocating the mountain gorillas, you will be granted one hour to follow the mountain gorillas, observe them, and take photos and videos in total silence.

Batwa community experience: After a quick relaxation at the lodge, take a walk through the rural village for the Batwa community experience. Spend the whole evening immersed in the Batwa ways of life, return to the lodge for a relaxation dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mutanda for a canoe boat Ride and then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

You will drive through a beautiful part of the country, often referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’.

Upon arrival in Lake Mutanda, take a boat around the lake to learn about its history and the surrounding islands, and after transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation, Dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 11: Transfer back to Entebbe or Kampala.

Wake up early morning for Breakfast, and after start your return journey to Entebbe. Make a stopover in Mbarara for Lunch at the Igongo Cultural Center, and later at the equator, you have the opportunity to take a few souvenir photos before you reach your guesthouse in Entebbe or Kampala in the evening.

Day 12: Entebbe or Kampala city tour and transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your International flight back home. | 12 Days Gorilla and Wildlife Safari

On the last day, depending on the time of your return flight, you can visit the Botanical Gardens in Entebbe before your driver takes you to the airport in time for your departure flight. You can then fly home or start a connecting trip.
