The Batwa Trail and Garama Cave

See the ancient Garama cave under a Mutwa’s guidance. About 3 kilometers from Ntebeko, this cave stretches 342km below the plateau on the perimeter of the park. Originally located in the deeper reaches of the park, this ancient cave was Batwa’s hiding place during raids on the Bafumbira farmers. The council chamber was also here.

At the conclusion of the Batwa route, this cave apparently offers a dramatic backdrop for a Batwa music and play performance.
