The 15-Day Uganda Wildlife & Primates Safari begins with a morning breakfast. Depart Kampala and head for Murchison Falls National Park with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary the home for Rhinos in Uganda and a lunch stop at Kabalega Dinners or at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. We later enter the park through Kichombanyobo gate and visit magnificent falls where you will enjoy and marvel at the mighty River Nile being forced in a seven meters crevice to thunder 45 meters below a series of cascades that can be seen from different points up to the summit. We later go and check into the service of the lodge for dinner, and overnight.

Day 1: Kampala - Murchison Falls National Park.
The safari begins with a morning breakfast and after depart Kampala heading for Murchison Falls National Park with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary the home for Rhinos in Uganda and lunch stop at Kolping hotel Masindi. We later enter the park through Kichombanyobo gate and visit magnificent falls where you will enjoy and marvel at the mighty River Nile being forced in a seven meters crevice to thunder 45 meters below a series of cascades that can be seen from different points up to the summit and we later go and check into the service of Fort Murchison, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park.
After an early morning breakfast, we drive down to the ferry and cross the Nile to the Northern sector of the park where we shall do our game drive in search for wildlife that includes elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, oribis, hart beasts, Kobs, warthogs, lions, jackals, leopards according to the luck of the day and a variety of savannah and woodland birds can be seen. The drive normally takes 3-4 hours according to how much you see and the interest you have in them. We drive back to the lodge, relax for a while, have lunch and then at 2:00pm we go for the boat cruise on close quarters as the animals draw down the river bank to cool off. Here you get a chance of seeing many schools of hippos, crocodile, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds. We come back after 3 hours to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Murchison Falls - Semliki National Park.
Depart Murchison Falls after an early breakfast and head for Fort portal driving through traditional homesteads and beautiful tea plantations in the rolling hills of Tooro kingdom. The journey may take about 7-8 hours (This road is now under construction), so some parts of the road are in good condition and some are still in bad condition. We arrive at Semuliki in the evening and check into the service of Bumaga Camp, dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Sempaya Hot springs, Semuliki National Park.
After breakfast, we go for a nature walk at Sempaya, visiting the Hot springs as well, in Semliki National Park. The guide will have packed lunch arranged before leaving your accommodation to be enjoyed as a picnic lunch while exploring the real African natural gifts. We will then transfer to Kibale national park, arriving in the evening and check in the service of Kibale Forest Camp, dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest.
After breakfast, we visit Kibale National Park which is said to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. You will take a guided nature walk in search for chimpanzees, black and white colubus monkeys, red colubus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, baboons and a variety of bird species. Come back to the lodge, relax around, have lunch and at 2:00pm go to Bigodi swamp for a nature walk in the wetland which also is very interesting. Come back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Kibale - Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After a relaxed breakfast, we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park through the crater lakes area and driving along the foot hills of Rwenzori Mountains with en-route lunch. Arriving in the early evening and enter the park with a mini game drive we check in to the service of QENP. Bush lodge, dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The day begins early as we drive to the Kasenyi plains for the game drive in search for wildlife which includes elephants, buffaloes, Kobs (the national animal for Uganda) hyenas, lions, waterbucks, bush bucks, and leopards according to the luck of the day. This normally takes about 2-3 hours and we come back to the hostel for breakfast, relax around, have lunch and later at 3:00pm. We go for the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel for yet another but different view of wildlife at close quarters as they come to cool off at the bank of the channel between lakes George and Edward. On this boat trip we are likely to encounter schools of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, and hundreds of bird species, come back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, we visit Kyambura Wildlife reserve. You drive through the grassland area and come across an impressive river line gorge with a rain forest which is about 100 metres deep. You look into the river gorge for an unforgettable chimp trekking experience. It’s a rewarding experience trekking chimpanzees in the beautiful river valley that houses numerous birds and butterfly species. We come back to the lodge for lunch, relax around and later in the evening go for another game drive along Kazinga channel and the crater area. Come back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Queen Elizabeth - Bwindi Impenetrable Park
After the morning breakfast, check out and drive to Bwindi through the Ishasha sector (Southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park) where tree climbing lions can be seen. With en-route lunch and later check into the service of Buhoma Community Rest Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Bwindi impenetrable forest (Gorilla Trekking).
After breakfast, we go to the visitors’ center for registration and briefing the long awaited hike. Hikers will love it with the unpredictable Gorilla trekking. It’s not easy to tell how long it will take you. The trekking may take you 2-8 hours so expect to walk for long hours/ distance in steep and muddy conditions and sometimes with rain over head as you hike. So always remember to bring along with you packed lunch, enough drinking water, rain jackets, insect repellents and you need to be physically fit. The time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour for conservation purposes. The ranger will brief you on how to behave while with these apes. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Rest Camp.
Day 11: Bwindi National Park - Lake Bunyonyi.
After a relaxed breakfast, check out and drive to Kabale through Ruhija sector of Bwindi National Park arriving in the afternoon and check in to the service of Bunyonyi overland camp (cottages) have lunch, relax around and later have dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi.
You can spend some relaxing moments on the shores of this beautiful lake after strenuous hiking in Bwindi. The optional activities here are birding or canoeing and visiting pigmies.
Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi overland camp
Day 13: Lake Bunyonyi - Lake Mburo National Park.
After breakfast, we check out and drive towards Lake Mburo National Park. This takes about 4-5 hours through the rolling hills and terraces of Kabale and Mbarara. We have en-route lunch and later enter the park with a mini game drive and later check into the service of Rwonyo camp. In the evening at around 4:00pm, we go for the boat cruise on Lake Mburo in search for wildlife that includes; hippos, crocodiles, monitors lizards and a variety of birds including the rare African fin food and the papyrus gono lake. Dinner and overnight at Eagles Nest.
Day 14: Lake Mburo National Park - Kampala.
After an early morning breakfast, you go for a game drive and later transfer to Kampala with en-route lunch and later check into forest cottages for dinner and overnight.
Day 15: Kampala City Tour.
After breakfast, your driver/ guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you for the city tour that includes visiting traditional/ cultural places like the Kasubi tombs, the Buganda Royal Senate (Bulange) the Kings Palace, Uganda museum, Uganda Martyrs shrine Namugongo, the religious cathedrals, craft markets and many more. You have lunch and then go to the airport for your flight home.
