Ziwa Rhino Tracking Safari: This trip takes us to explore Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary the home of the remaining white rhino. Have your morning breakfast and later start for a panoramic drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary via the former Luwero triangle. Ziwa is a great place to track and see the few remaining white Rhinos in the World. You will later have your lunch and return to Kampala at leisure.
Whilst rhino trekking at Ziwa, you will enter the territory of the southern white rhinos on foot. Well-trained rangers will guide you through the bush to wherever the rhinos are at the time. This adventure will allow you to watch these endangered, magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

Rhino trekking offers a magical encounter with rhinos which make up the list of the big five African game. Your rhino tracking trip begins and ends in Kampala/Entebbe. It allows you sight not only the white rhinos but also several other mammal species and birdlife.
The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is set on the Kampala-Gulu highway, and 7kms when you branch off from Nakitooma, Nakasongola district.
We will spend about 3 or 4 hours driving from Kampala to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for 1 day Rhino Trekking Tour. Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary is well-positioned making it an ideal stop point for most Uganda safaris to Murchison Falls National Park in Northwestern Uganda
Detailed trip itinerary
Your one-day trip to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for the Rhino Tracking Tour will commence with a tasty cup of tea or coffee early morning.
After Coffee, you will receive a briefing from a representative from Katland Safaris and then embark on a journey to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary via the Kampala-Luwero-Nakasongola route. Branch off from Nakitoma about 7 km to get to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary early enough for a rhino tracking experience with the site tour guide.
On a rhino trek, expect to spot not only the white rhinos but also antelopes, birds, and a lot more. You will enjoy one hour of face to face with rhinos, capture their pictures, learn their behaviors, and return from your footwalk experience.
After, you will head out for lunch at either Amuka Safari Lodge or at Kabalega Dinners. On your way back to Kampala. We will also have a stop in Luwero for a taste of a Ugandan Pineapple. Later, drive to Kampala for drop-off at your hotel or place of residence.
