The bustling town of Jinja is situated at one of the sources of Africa’s longest and most renowned rivers: the River Nile. The Nile has long been a symbol of life and prosperity for all the countries it passes through, before its journey ends in Egypt, far north of here.
Jinja has quickly become East Africa’s adrenaline capital, and thrill-seekers can get their fix white water rafting, kayaking, quad biking, bungee jumping, or horse-riding through crumbling colonial ruins.
Natural beauty is never far away. Serene nature walks on the river bank and boat cruises on Lake Victoria can be taken at a more comfortable pace for those who like the gentler sides of life.
On this trip therefore, we will pay a visit to some of the exciting destinations in Jinja and also participate in key tourist and team-building activities within these destinations.

Detailed trip itinerary
Day one
Transfer to JINJA from Kampala.
Day Highlights
Ssezibwa Falls, source of the Nile Visit, Canoe boat ride to the source of the Nile, Jinja city walk, Visit to the Railway Museum and transfer back to Kampala.
Early morning after your cup of coffee, you will meet up with representatives from Katland Safaris for a briefing and then transfer to Jinja. We will have our first stop at Ssezibwa Falls, an exciting site with great cultural stories at sezibwa falls.
We will proceed with our journey to Jinja and straight away go for a cone boat ride to explore the source of the Nile.
We will then go for a walking tour of Jinja town exploring key unique features that make Jinja a unique tourist site. We will finish the walk with a local buffet Lunch.
We will then head out for a tour of the Railway Museum to explore the stories behind its construction. We will then embark on a journey back to Kampala with our last stop being at the Jinja bridge.
We will then embark on our journey back to Kampala reaching in the evening with a drop-off at your hotel.
Day 1: Transfer To Jinja.
Start for Jinja, via Mukono, Detour to Sezzibwa falls, thought in local folklore to have been produced by an ancient woman, birding while there and continue to Mabira forest. Proceed to Jinja past the Owen falls dam, Uganda’s largest dam. Visit the sauce of the mighty River Nile, have a lunch break at King Fisher Lodge. Your trip ends with a tour to Itanda Falls on the other end of the Nile. Return to Kampala late evening.
